Old picture from the Victorian / Edwardian
era of the old Plague cottages in Eyam. The village was made
famous when in August 1665 bubonic plague arrived in the village
in a parcel of cloth sent from London, so to prevent the plague
from spreading the villages confined themselves to the village
with many dying over a period of 14 months. Aerial
